Christmas preparations outside and at home make 12-year-old Jim realize how difficult it is to be both big and small at the same time. Everyday life is marked by bullying and loneliness. At school, he is the lowest in the class, and is forced to buy beer and cigarettes, and arrange parties in the garage. At home, things are different. There, he is a stay-at-home dad, taking care of his mother, who has entrenched herself under the covers with recordings of the moon landing on VHS and refuses to go out. Then a new boy starts in class, and Jim gets the friend he doesn't want: Terje. Pitbullterje.
