A nailbiting thriller by the director behind Oldboy and Decision to Leave
Man-su (Lee Byung-hun) is a successful paper company executive. He has the perfect job, the perfect wife, the perfect children and the perfect pets. One day, everything collapses after an American acquisition leaves him unemployed. As his money dries up, Man-su convinces himself that there is “no other choice” but to murder his rival job seekers so he can get back into the workforce.
This is a dark, comedic satire with precise direction from Park Chan-Wook (the director behind Oldboy and Decision to Leave, among others). He draws frightening parallels between corporate cruelty and personal ethics, creating a thrilling, funny and deeply disturbing film about desperation and greed.
