Directors Mariana Rondón and Marité Ugás have collaborated on a number of films, including the beautiful BAD HAIR, which was screened at BIFF in 2013. Their films are stylistically solid, while also having something on their hearts. IT WOULD BE NIGHT IN CARACAS is a gripping drama that depicts a country in complete collapse with intensity and brutality. Actress Natalia Reyes is sparkling in the lead role. The script is full of nuances and details that bring to light a contrasting and complex situation where rights and security are rapidly disappearing. This powerful feature film mercilessly shows the reality of Venezuelans.
The film is shown in collaboration with the Cine Latino Festival in Bergen/BIFF.
