Based on Albert Camus' famous novel
We are in Algiers in 1938.
Meursault, a quiet and modest employee in his early thirties, attends his mother's funeral without shedding a tear. The next day, he begins a casual and passionate affair with Marie, a work colleague, and quickly slips back into his usual routine. However, his everyday life is disrupted by his neighbor Raymond Sintès, who draws Meursault into his shady affairs - until a tragic incident occurs on a beach on a scorching hot day.
The film explores how secrets and hidden desires can challenge both identity and societal norms. With its precise direction and psychological portrayals, the film questions the boundaries between guilt and innocence.
